Programme note
A sonic journey evoking the climb to the highest peak of a Spanish mountain range. You hear the physical effort, the broken breathing, the racing pulse of the ascent and the constant presence of nature, such as the wind.
The music follows the thoughts that come with a challenge: fatigue, doubt, persistence and, finally, the satisfaction of the height reached. A metaphor for the human drive to push past the limit, where nature and psychology intertwine.
